As members of a community driven not-for-profit outdoors club, we each have a responsibility for the stewardship of Lake Ontario's waterfront that we enjoy. We acknowledge that for thousands of years the lake and its waterways have been the traditional home and passageways for many indigenous people such as the Huron-Wendat, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and more recently the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, after more than a century of newcomers, the local region is still the home for many indigenous people including members of our club. We are very grateful to those that came before us and the City to have the opportunity to enjoy the sparkling waters of 'OntarĂ'io' (meaning 'great lake' in Huron).

Club motto

"Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats." - Ratty, in Kenneth Grahame's The Wind In The Willows
